OUR STORY

MEET KRISTIN ALOAN

OWNER

Hey, welcome to Something Else Doylestown online! I am Kristin Aloan, the owner of Something Else.  My journey to Something Else began with an internship in 2008 while pursuing a Fashion Merchandising degree. Upon graduation, I became a full time employee and in 2010 was promoted to store manager/buyer. I purchased the business in 2016.

I strive to carry a wide variety of merchandise popular for any age customer. I love the fact that mothers and daughters can shop together and leave with something they both love. The merchandise at Something Else ranges from women's clothing, accessories, shoes, jewelry, lifestyle products, and our most recent bestsellers: intimates and loungewear.

In the Fall of 2019, the opportunity to expand to the "other side" of the building arose. The "other side" carries men's clothing/products, plus our tried and true brand, Free People.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Something Else was closed from March through June of 2020. I relied upon Instagram stories, curbside pickup and free shipping to remain afloat during those trying times. Those three months were very challenging for small businesses, but thanks to my loyal customers and many new customers, I was able to weather the storm.

Given the favorable response to my Instagram stories and many inquiries regarding a website, I am excited to announce the Something Else website is officially up and running!

I also want to take a few lines to thank my wonderful employees, for without them, my business would not be where it is today. We are a close-knit family here at Something Else!

We hope you will enjoy visiting www.shopsomethingelse.com

MEET KATIE SCHULZ

WEBSITE ADMINISTRATOR

Meet Katie, she has been a part of the Something Else family since 2019! She is a CB West alum and is now entering her sophomore year at Temple University. Katie is double majoring in Film and Media and Political Science.
Knowing Katie has experience and interest in web design, I approached her with the idea of building a website for Something Else in May of 2021. We are all looking forward to this new chapter in the business!
